An Albanian 16 years old boy emigrated to Italy with his father, who wanted to build a new life. But he does it illegally, with illegal transport of emigrants. This activity doesn’t repay much, so the father does some extra illegal business with some businessmen. Saimir falls in love with Michela, who is attracted to him but doesn’t understand him culturally. Then he meets a young 15-year-old Albanian girl who falls in a dangerous prostitution circle. At this point Saimir will have to make some drastic decisions. The movie was presented at the Horizons section of the Venice
Film Festival and won the Silver Ribbon’s Best New Director Award. Others nominations were for the David di Donatello and the Fassbinder Award at the European Film Awards.
