Antonio, born on September 16th 1970, and Marco, born on January 15th 1968, are two brothers from Rome who have decided to give themselves the name of Manetti Bros (Brothers), just like their surname. A lot of eclectics start their careers with video clips and then they work for cinema and television. Marco studied screenwriting with the director Ettore Scola and the screenwriters Age and Scarpelli. He was also assistant to Marco Bellocchio, Vittorio Sindoni and Pasquale Squitieri. Along with his brother, he collaborated to the TV show Studio 18 presented by Serena Dandini and then, together, they made a few Web episodes called SCUM – The Web series. After that, still working for television, they collaborated to the show Stracult, and they have directed the TV series L’ispettore Coliandro since 2006; this story takes its inspiration from the character created by the writer Carlo Lucarelli: Between 2014 and 2015 they also directed two series of the well-known TV show Rex. In the Nineties they had worked for music video clips directing music stars like Alex Britti, Max Pezzali, Piotta, Mietta and Tiromancino. For the film industry they started with Consegna a domicilio, one episode of the multi-author film DeGenerazione with the guest appearance of Asia Argento and Alex Infascelli. This happened in 1995 and after collaborating with RAI in Torino Boys two years later, in 2000 they were produced by the director Carlo Verdone (who is the guest star) in Zora la vampira. After Piano 17 - set inside a lift - of 2005, their film L’arrivo di Wang participated in The Venice Film Festival in 2011. At the Film Festival of Rome, they presented Song ‘e Napule which was distributed in 2014.
