Brief synopsis:
Stefano and Nader are two classmates. Stefano has emotional problems related to the fact that girls cannot decide to end a relationship. In fact, his girlfriend broke up with him and he can’t stand it. Even Nader has a girlfriend who doesn’t practice his same religion, so her parents oppose their relationship. Furthermore, he is a thief and easily uses violence. After being shut outside his home because of an argument with his mother, Nader must face his first night out, with the city’s inhabitants and dangers. Nader had already appeared in Brothers of Italy. Inspired by the life of Pasolini characters, Giovannesi succeeds to evolve and to tell this bitter story of religious and urban conflicts with sensitivity and realism. This film got the Special Jury Prize and Special Prize for Best Debut and Second Film at the Rome Film Festival.
