[6]Brief synopsis:
From the alleyways of Naples to the roaring United States, Ferrante For Ever, Giacomo Durzi's documentary, follows the journey of the work of a great author. The places and protagonists of Elena Ferrante's novels are told through the passionate look of witnesses and exceptional readers.
Who is Elena Ferrante? Un nom de plume like Salinger or Banksy, adopted as a jealous anonymity to protect? But in her books, Ferrante is in search of it. In the details and clues spread across the pages, in the temper of a character, in the thoughts of another. The author himself argues, "Books have no need for the authors once they have been written." And in fact the covers of her novels return incomplete, mutilated, faceless women. It’s right in her books, in which the apparently contradicting author seems to want to tell a lot about his private life. Ferrante For Ever balances with Elena Ferrante's work, searching for her identity between her lines.
