La doppia vita di Veronica

Although they do not know each other, they both have a vague awareness of each other's existence. The things they have in common (left-handedness, musical ability, deceased mothers) also includes heart disease. The former dies from the condition. This enigmatic film, not wholly connected to reality, is one that is to be felt rather than rationally understood, and does not lend itself entirely to any one interpretation. It is no coincidence that music is such a driving force in the film. The script was written by the director and Krzysztof Piesiewicz, the co-writer on Decalogue.
