41 Parallelo, a new successuful edition

The Napolifilmfestival returned to New York for the fifth time with the 41st Parallel. The season brought to the Big Apple a retrospective at Film Forum on the great Alberto Sordi, as well as a day dedicated to the Italian Comedy at New York University, with the documentary "Una bella vacanza. Buon compleanno Dino Risi" di Fabrizio Corallo and "Big deal on Madonna Street" by Mario Monicelli.

As usual, the prize-winning documentaries and shorts from the SchermoNapoli contest of last June were screened at the Italian Cultural Institute. The films were: "Missing New Orleans", "Pugni", "Fuori Uso" and "Uno scippo".

Completing this year's packed program, the Scott Eder Galley hosted a collective exhibition of original layouts by the foremost Italian comic writers of our day: Italian Masters of Comic Book Art.
