Graduated in Modern Literature at La Sapienza University of Rome with a thesis entitled: "Gabriele Polverosi: the role of the assistant director in Bernardo Bertolucci's Novecento". In 1997 he attended a screenwriting course, organised by Rome City Council and led by writer Leo Benvenuti.
