Fatmir Koçi was born in 1961 in Tirana (Albania), where he studied acting and film direction. He has written and directed films and documentaries that have been selected in the most famous film festivals such as Venice, Cannes, Montreal, Thessaloniki. His previous feature films include Tirana Year Zero (2001) and Time of the Comet (2009). His cinema explores contemporary Albania as well as the history of his country, European and Mediterranean culture and that of the Balkans. Elvis Walks Home was presented at the Montreal World Film Festival in 2017.
