Veronica, a young single mother of an adolescent boy, is driving along a coastal road. It is night. Suddenly an oncoming car swerves in front of her, breaks through the barrier and falls to the sea. She doesn't stop but instinctively carries on driving. From that moment Veronica's life takes an unexpected turn. During the car recovery operation rescuers find the body of woman - the victim of a multiple transplant. And Veronica, who up until that moment had based her life around her love for her son and her passion for music, falls prey to the anxiety of being found out.
