Taking the ancient legend of the Monaciello (little monk) as recounted by Matilde Serao, this is the legend from the point of view of the mother of the Monaciello. Seen through the camera, the story of motherhood denied unfolds, reconstructing the myth that brings everything to the here and now. A dream language and non-sequential narrative that relies on the imagination of the viewer, taking them to the apex of this drama of a mother who sees her life turned upside down and repudiated.

Dopo molti anni trascorsi in Argentina, Roberto, scrittore ormai cieco, torna a Napoli per la morte della madre. Insieme con il fratello Lorenzo, musicista mancato, intraprenderà un viaggio della memoria nella città della sua giovinezza, che non può più vedere ma solo percepire attraverso i sensi che gli restano, i ricordi e l’immaginazione, alla ricerca del tragico motivo del suo addio.
He was born in Buenos Aires on 4 December 1980. His debut took place in 2004 with a collective film Love screened at the Venice International Critics' Week. The first movie directed alone was in 2011 and has the title of The Student. After Paulina of 2015, it reaches great success with The Summit of 2017.

Come regista e drammaturga è vincitrice di numerosi Premi italiani e internazionali.
