Although they come from privileged backgrounds, these women have had the courage to speak out about topics such as living conditions, work, the Khomeini revolution and censorship. Their words help reveal a hitherto unknown but in many ways positive aspect of this country. An aspect that upturns a common western perception of Iran, characterised by floggings, martyrdom and war.
