Synopsis
20 August 2004 was the day that bookshop Internazionale Treves began a long campaign of protest against forced closure due to threatened eviction. In the end the bookshop's doors stayed open, but in a different location: the porticoes of Piazza del Plebiscito, a prestigious site but currently very isolated. The film recounts the unfolding of this story but also asks what was, what is and what will be the role of the bookseller in the distribution of print literature, given the existence of new competition in the form of megastores, shopping malls, and even newsstands, which sell books at knock-down prices.
