synopsis
Andrea, a forty year old Roman, is a skilled worker in a big metalworking plant. He wife takes their son Giulio to the seaside in order to recover from a serious illness. Andrea, alone in the city for the weekend, begins an affair with a young typist. When he leaves her to go back to his wife she kills herself. He resumes his family routine, but life will never be the same again...
