synopsis
Is there a link between a burglary in a luxury apartment and the body discovered in another apartment? Commissario Ingravallo of the flying squad in Rome investigates. Through a method of patient enquiry coupled with cunning tactics, the Commissario edges closer to the truth, which only fully comes to light when the discovery of some stolen jewels allows him to link the burglary and the murder. The film is freely adapted from the novel by Carlo Emilio Gadda, "Quer pasticciaccio brutto de via Merulana".
