In 2004 Antonio Manco obtained a degree in communication sciences with a thesis on the language of film applied to political and social communication. He attended the (University Theatre Centre), directed by Roberto Ruggieri, until 2000, the year when Gabriele Anastasio set up his experimental cinema laboratory. In 2001 he founded the cultural association Prhomosapiens and through it created the Bianco film festival in 2002. This was Italy's first social issues film festival of international scope. He remained general manager until 2004.
