Born in Palermo, they began as writers and consultants for production and distribution companies such as Fandango and Filmauro. They wrote the script for Ogni volta che te ne vai (Every time you go away) in 2004 and made their first short film Rita in 2010. The little film has been around the world, shown and awarded in many festivals. In 2013 their debut feature film Salvo was shown at the Cannes Festival Critics' Week and won two awards. The film has since been distributed in more than 25 countries.
