Born in Monza on January 17th 1962.Director of documentaries and film historian, he has worked for newspapers such as Segnocinema, Filmcronache, Il Giorno. In the Nineties he was the person in charge for film and genre selection of the channel Rete 4 and worked with Carlo Freccero and Giuseppe Cereda. He has written several books among which the Dictionary of Female Film Directors by Gremese, co-author of several publications of the Dictionary of all Films by Pino Farinotti and many others for www.ilmiolibro.it. In the Nineties he was voluntary film assistant on the film location of Pupi Avati and made some backstage on the locations of Dario Argento, Pupi Avati and Bigas Luna. He has also made some experimental videos called “Close up” with actors and film directors captured at the press conference of Berlin, Venice and Cannes. He has held some lectures at the Columbia College of Chicago and at the Collegio Città studi of Milan. Moreover he has played secondary roles in films such as Magnificat, Dichiarazioni d’amore, L’amico d’infanzia, Festival and Retour a Mayerling. In 2012 there was a retrospective of his documentaries at the Napoli Film Festival. In 2013 he arranged a traveling photo exhibit about actors and actresses and the showing of the video Close up presented both in Milan and at the Art Institute of California. He made the shootings of Edward Asner – The actor, The Man in Los Angeles and in 2014 his documentaries were shown in Palermo, Milan and Piacenza. He is about to edit a film about the history of pizza. He is also a translator and a subtitle script writer, and he teaches at the Adiacademy, the first Drama Academy of Monza and Brianza.
