An American middle-aged woman suddenly discovers her true origins only after her parents’ death. Deeply shocked and in the middle of a real identity crisis, she decides to travel hoping to embrace her unknown natural mother. So she goes to a small and remote town in southern Italy, Montedoro. At her arrival she's surprised by an apocalyptic scenario: the town, set on a majestic hill, is completely abandoned and it seems there’s nobody left. Thanks to the accidental meeting with some mysterious people, those who have never wanted to leave the town, the main character will make a fascinating and magical journey through time and memory, reconnecting with the ghosts of an unknown past that belongs to her, which is part of her family saga and of an ancient and mysterious extinct community, that will live for one last time.
