Gianfranco Pannone

Born in Naples in 1963. Between 1990 and 1998 he produced and directed the trilogy composed of Piccola America, Lettere dall'America, L'America and in 2001 Latina / Littoria, the latter won the prize as the best documentary film at the Turin Film Festival 2001. His documentary films, particularly attentive to Italy, with all its riches, historical and anthropological, have earned him participations and awards in many Italian and international festivals, as well as airing on the main European televisions. He teaches Documentary Cinema at the Dams of the University of Rome. Among the latest documentaries made: L’esercito piu’ piccolo del mondo, Mondo Za and Lascia stare i Santi.
