On the roof of a building, a lone, melancholic man ekes out a precarious existence and shelters from the scorching heat of the summer as best he can. With some trepidation, he decides to dust off the old trumpet that he hasn't played for a long time. On the roof next door, his invasive and noisy neighbour prepares his grill, TV and inflatable swimming pool to enjoy the national football team playing a match. With each of them confined to their own roof, like two close but opposing worlds, a silent conflict is sparked off, culminating in a remorseless and final showdown.
