Concorso SchermoNapoli Documentari: Giurato Massimiliano Pacifico
Massimiliano Pacifico graduated in Film and TV Studies at the University of Surrey in London in 2001. He currently lives and works in Naples, where he has worked with directors such as Paolo Sorrentino, Stefano Sollima, Pippo Delbono, Antonio Capuano, Vincenzo Marra, Susanne Bier, Olivier Assayas and many others. He is also a documentary filmmaker and has produced numerous films on the installations of Mimmo Paladino and was editor on Quijote, in competition at the Venice Film Festival in 2006. Other films he has directed: Cricket Cup, a documentary on the Sri Lankan community, which has been presented at numerous international festivals and broadcast on BBC World; an episode of the collective film Napoli 24 (along with other directors including Paolo Sorrentino and Pietro Marcello), presented at the 2010 Turin Film Festival; and the documentary '394 Trilogia nel Mondo' on the foreign tour of Toni Servillo and his theatre company. The film was broadcast on RAI and SKY and published in the Feltrinelli Real Cinema series. More recently, he has directed two short films (Afronapoli United and Centoquattordici) as part of the "Laboratorio Mina" project aired on SKY Cult.
