Concorso FotoGrammi: Giurato Ilaria Abbiento
A Neapolitan photographer, her first encounter with photography was at the age of five when a photographer uncle let her play in the dark room; there she found her enthusiasm for film, the silver halides and the photos that eventually appear in the developing fluid. She was already taking pictures seriously as a teenager. After leaving High School and studying Architecture for three years she became a graphic designer in advertising and then art director in a communications company, Ikedea. But photography continues to be her partner in life to the point that she devotes all her time to it. She has had two solo exhibitions: "A’ Juta a Montevergine" and "Concetta dei fiori". She has taken part in various group exhibitions and is a winner of the "Scatta Mojoca" photo competition. For the last two years she has been involved in the "Laboratorio irregolare" led by photographer Antonio Biasiucci and has shown her project "In ogni luogo" in the collective exhibition Epifanie at Castel dell 'Ovo in Naples. She took part in the Alto Fest 2014 Festival Internazionale d'Arti Performative with the photographic exhibition "Appartamenti." The "In ogni luogo" photography project is currently on show at the Museo Macro in Rome for the International Festival of Photography and the SiFest Savignano Immagini Festival.
