After losing his job as a bricklayer, Christian starts working as a forklift operator in a supermarket. Thus it finds itself in a new and unknown world: the long corridors, the bustle at the crates, the forklifts. Meet Rudi, Pallet-Klaus and Bruno. The latter takes him under his wing and shows him the tricks of the trade, becoming for him a paternal friend. Soon Christian will become an actual member of the friendly - and in his own way - family of this supermarket, in which he also knows the mysterious and married Marion.

Years after the war, some regions are still contaminated with broken families, poverty, crime and low-grade uranium. At a NATO military training range in the middle of nowhere in Western Herzegovina, a nine-year-old girl called Alica and her uncle Valentin collect shells and scraps of grenades to sell on the black market. Valentin dies of cancer, Alica's diagnosis is not good but there's no money for therapy. Alica's journey through the Land of Wonders begins.

Da Napoli a Gaeta, da Pietrarsa a Pontelandolfo fino a giungere in Sicilia, viene percorso un itinerario attraverso tappe storiche per raccontare degli episodi lasciati nel dimenticatoio.

Louis was abandoned by his mother a few weeks after his birth. Now at sixteen, and despite his adoptive parents' unwillingness to talk, he wants to know where he comes from. After tracking down his mother at her florist's shop, she presents himself but she denies his claim and vehemently rejects him. However a great deal of patience and determination from Louis, a relation between the two seems to be reborn.
Un padre vecchio stampo troppo sicuro di sé e un figlio già adulto ma ancora troppo pavido hanno qualcosa che li divide da sempre ma che è rimasto celato per decenni.
