Alberto Rodríguez

Alberto Rodríguez

Type:
Born in 1971, is one of the top directors of the latest Spanish "new wave". He has achieved full artistic maturity with Marshland (2014), winner of 10 Goya, including Best Film and Director, a hybrid of crime and thriller with a strong historical background. Rodríguez had already distinguished himself in the crime genre with Unit 7 (2012) in which he cited openly the brutal actions of a police unit in the fight against drugs and corruption in Seville. If 7 Vírgines (2005) was a “coming of age” still in the world of crime, After (2009) came directly into the experience of three young friends in the lapse of an evening. In 2016 comes The man with Thousand Faces, a real Hollywood style spy story, once again based on real events.
