The "Blue Queen" is one of the most expensive diamonds in the world and naturally tempts many thugs; one night Yannis finds himself driving on a criminal hike with a gang of robbers, which brilliantly completes the blow. Giulio Santelia is an old man, a professional poker player, forgetting his lawyer profession and dedicating all himself to a love affair with Claudio. His daughter, Valeria, who has not lived with him for some time and who has raised her son Marco by herself. She adores Claudio while she doesn’t have a good relationship with her father. When Claudio becomes seriously ill, all the love is enclosed by Giulio in a rose, brought to his bedside every morning. For Claudio stops playing poker, but when the money ends, Giulio is forced to dismiss the gardener, the cook and even sell the furniture, staging the perfect game bluff in their home in Alghero. As in a theatrical pièce, he directs himself in the different tasks, in order to don’t make miss anything to his beloved Claudio, unaware of the situation. Adam is a Christian Arab living in Nazareth - member of a minority that is disappearing in the Holy Land and the Middle East. His wife Lamia is strong, beautiful and progressive and directs a foundation for women's rights. When Adam learns that Lamia is pregnant and her father becomes seriously ill, he does a reveiw of his own life and realizes that he has not achieved much. In contemporary rural Iceland, a nine-year-old rebel child, Sól, is sent to the farm of a distant relative, to work and mature, according to the tradition of these places. The dream of "Mickey Jones" is to become the most famous imitator of Elvis Presley in the world. In 1990 he was sent with his crazy manager to entertain the British peace troops in the Balkan wars. After losing his job as a bricklayer, Christian starts working as a forklift operator in a supermarket.
