Most Beautiful Island is an ironic and disenchanted title. The movie starts with women infiltrated in the humanity that circulate through the skyscrapers of Manhattan every day. They are anonymous but tenacious girls who do everything in their power to break into a ruthless and competitive world. The story revolves around Luciana, a young Spanish girl recently arrived in New York, escaping from her past. She is alone, without documents, and her only purpose is to find a way to earn enough money to survive in the Big Apple.

The Casertan businessman Ciccio "Dop" celebrates in big style his liberation after a prison sentence for killing an antagonist with a whip for buffalos and taking possession of his historic mozzarella company. The Chinese begin to compete with him, producing a good buffalo mozzarella at half the price of its dairy, and the company is in crisis. His reaction to possible bankruptcy is like a Camorra entrepreneur: extortions, threats and tangents, between the disturbing Mastu Pascale, the violent Gravinio and the melodramatic madness of Gigino 'a Purpetta.
