Formia is a small town, a narrow strip of land squeezed between the sea and the mountains. Formia is only walkable in two directions: forward and backward. Thus the lives of four young characters: the space in which they can move is restricted, the prospects are limited. Victims of an old town, that doesn’t grant them much., and also of the worst economic crisis of the past eighty years, the four are accomplices in this situation. They are oppressors and victims at the same time, unable to desire and demand, they are always kind, asking permission.

Autore di numerosi saggi e volumi dedicati a Franchi e Ingrassia, Douglas Sirk, Carlo Verdone, Clint Eastwood, Paul Schrader, alla comicità e al doppiaggio, è stato professore a contratto di Semiologia del cinema all’Università degli Studi di Salerno e ha fatto parte della giuria Fipresci (Federazione della Critica Internazionale) in numerosi festival
Registi di documentari e autori di storie, Alberto Gottardo e Francesca Sironi lavorano come duo dall’estate del 2015. Seguono una ricerca comune sul presente, che unisce i loro percorsi: Alberto la fotografia - ha studiato alla City University di New York e al master in Fotografia della CFP Bauer di Milano, dove ora insegna; Francesca la scrittura – ha scritto dal 2012 al settimanale L’Espresso, occupandosi di inchieste e feature stories; nel 2020 ha scritto un saggio per ragazzi sulla violenza di genere.
