Born in Bologna on 3 November 1938. One of the undisputed masters of Italian cinema. Director, producer and writer. He began his career as a director in the horror genre with a couple of hard-to-find films shot at the end of the Sixties Blood Relations and Thomas – Gli indemoniati. He has his first chance to emerge with a film starring Ugo Tognazzi and Paolo Villaggio, The Mazurka of the Baron, the Saint and the Early Fig Tree in 1975.

Erano le sette passate di sera del 23 novembre 1980 quando uno spaventoso terremoto di magnitudo 6,9 colpì un'area di circa 25.000 km2 nel Sud Italia. Nella zona dell’epicentro decine di Paesi verranno rasi al suolo e il bilancio finale conterà quasi 3mila vittime, oltre a centinaia di migliaia di feriti e senzatetto. Un evento terribile che avrà un impatto mondiale e avrà conseguenze sulla vita sociale e politica nazionale.
The importance of tradition and oral culture are shown in this poetic short movie through live action and animation. Three generations are portrayed with enormous grace and kindness, especially the grandfather teaching his grandson what it means to be a fisher nowadays, something that in some way deals with hope in a better world. Giuseppe Schifani designs a romantic tale about the endless pursuit of love and the significance of roots.

A son who is moving away from his father, three aloof brothers, an astray couple: three stories about relationship and time passing by.
Arturo is a talented chef, but also a very polemical person and not able to manage his anger. These problems, which ended up marginalizing him, lead him to the point of being arrested for a fight. So he finds himself having to serve the sentence for social services, taking a cooking class in a center for autistic children where Anna works. Among these guys there is Guido, a young man with Asperger's syndrome and a great passion for cooking. The comparison with the "neurodiversity" of Guido, which is not inferiority, will lead Arturo to slowly change his attitudes.
